This recipe is by someone from Mexico. From the photo, I thought it would turn out the consistency of a quiche, but ours was more like whipped potato with a nice crust. There were only a few steps - chopping of onion, olives and parsley, steaming of potatoes, then prep of a delicious sauce made up of butter, sour cream, Mayonnaise, mustard and eggs. All ingredients are whipped up together then it's baked - mmmm. 5/5 from our household.

Thanks Cecilia, perhaps you could provide a link for those wanting to try it :)

Not sure what you want me to do, JD. ?? The pic I mentioned is in the book on p.75.

Is this a gluten free pie crust? Will someone be kind enough to PM the recipe as I have ordered the cookbook from Germany but my parents happen to be travelling to Europe next week and will collect my cookbook over there from relatives as the German TM online store only delivers to domestic addresses.

Don't worry Cecilia, it's been a long weekend and I'm trying to speed read to catch up. I misunderstood, thought you meant from RC forum :-)) Will do the link.

Thanks, JD.
Merlin, the crust is only the edge of the potato.

Cecilia, did you add the green olives? I'm not fond of olives and would want to leave them out of this recipe.
-
Were you in my kitchen looking over my shoulder, JD? No, we like olives, but didn't have any on hand and didn't think it was worth a trip to the shops. We loved this dish even though :'( I didn't put the olives in.

Thanks Cecilia, good to know it wasn't lacking in flavour without the olives.

Giving this a try today.
