Title: Howdee
Post by: Reeni on June 24, 2012, 07:16:29 am
Hi Everyone,

I have had my Thermie for about a year, I have always enjoyed it, but really have only just fallen totally in love with it!

I guess I was turned off for a while as all my meat dishes came out sloppy and all my sauces runny. I am currently more focused on making jams, cakes and chutney's, but would like to become more developed with cooking meals in it.

I am ready to give anything a go and look forward to pinching lots of your ideas!

Reeni

Welcome to the forum Rennie, i find some meals just need some tweaking to make them just right. Sometimes I will prepare the sauce in the TM and pour it over the meat (that I have browned in a frying pan) and cook it in the oven.
I find the honey mustard chicken falls apart in the TM so I will cook that in the oven. It really depends on what type of meat you use. Softer meat needs less cooking and stirring to keep it whole. Where tough cuts are usually fine and come out tender.

Hello Rennie, welcome to our forum at last. You know the basics, have turned to making jams and cakes instead of meals and now it is time for you to have a go at everything.  Just browse our forum to see the wide range of things we make in our TMX's and some glowing reviews of our recipes and those in the recipe books should have you wanting to try all sorts of things now.  Keep us informed as to what you are cooking and how you are loving all the new things you have found to make ;)
