Title: Cooking dried spaghetti in TM
Post by: Halex on June 30, 2012, 07:46:43 am
I am posting this because its taken me well over 1 year to learn how to cook spaghetti in TM. ;D AND then only because my friend told me ;D

I am sure all you newbies are much smarter than me, but anyway here we go. If only I realised this 1 year ago, I wouldnt have 6 pkts in my pantry.

Add water as in edc, heat water as instructed, insert spaghetti through mc , LEAVE IT, the TM will automatically  spiral the spaghetti down. It cooks perfect pasta.

I was pulling it out breaking it in half, squashing it through with mc, it was hard work, so I gave up.it must have looked hysterical.

NowI know it is so easy, more pasta dishes soon :)

I always cook mine in the TMX Hally, it is so much quicker and no great stock pot to clean afterwards.  I do break my pasta in half though as I find it easier to eat than full strands.  It's a brilliant way to cook pasta.

I cook all pasta in the TMX (expecially because it is usually just for me) the only think I do differently is to boil the water in the elctric kettle first.  Don't know if this is a waste of electricity but works for me.

Thermomix pasta is so easy & makes the dried stuff taste brilliant. I always had trouble with fine pasta like angel hair etc. until I started using the thermomix. Mow it's perfect every time. :o
