Title: First recipe
Post by: bobbreck on July 09, 2012, 11:02:58 am
Hi all! My TM arrived today and after reading all the instructions and after another one-on-one demo I decided to try my hand at  my first recipe. I did a pork spare ribs recipe I found in a separate cook book. Wow  :) :) All cooked in the TM and tasted delicious.  Seems I will be undertaking many more recipes.

Wow. I have never cooked spare ribs in the TMX though superkitschenmachine.com has a great recipe.

Well done you. How did you cook them?

You will have to share that recipe with us bobbreck, well done doing a conversion so quickly after becoming a new TMX owner.

Oh dear! It seems I may have inadvertently misled members about my first recipe.  It was not an adapted recipe.  It was from another TM recipe book called "The best of our Recipe Communities"  The only adaptation I made was to substitute a brown onion for some of the green onions.  Sorry!!! :-\

That's still quite an achievement for your first meal bobbreck.  My first meal was a simple pumpkin soup.  Took me a while to tackle something as complicated as an 'all in one' meal, so well done!

We all jumped to the wrong conclusion bobbreck but well done still - it certainly was thinking outside the square to try something like that.  Is it the recipe on page 92?  I don't know if you have seen our review section for cookbooks.  Perhaps you could go over there and add a review for that recipe and I could then link it to the list. All you need do is go here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=48.0), click on 'new topic' and with a heading of Recipe Review Stewed Ribs with Spring Onions BOURC page 92 (best of our recipe communities) just type what you thought of it and if you followed the recipe exactly.  It then helps others when they check to see if anyone has made the recipe before they attempt it.

Thanks JD.  Yep it is the recipe on page 92 of that book.  I will try to carry out the tips you gave me.  Everything is quite new to me about posting messages etc.

JD I did as you said and gave a review of the recipe and posted it.....but it doesn't seem to be on the subject page. :(   I think it must be somewhere else.....but where?? :D

You did fine bobbreck.  The first page and a bit are taken up with the actual books with their links to reviews -these are stickied so that they stay at the top of that section.  The individual reviews just follow on from there.  If anyone looks to see if a recipe has been reviewed, they go straight to the book, check the list and click on the link which I have put there.  This leads them straight to your review.  It works perfectly believe me, if people do exactly what I have just told you  ;)
