I am deciding if I should purchase a TM and interested in others experiences!
-
Hi and welcome to the forum Linda.Have a demo and see the TM in action and that will make the decision easy because you will want one :D We're all fanatics here so we are very biased :)
-
Welcome to the forum Linda. You will only have to read a few posts to realize that we all love our TM. If you want to hear from someone saying don't buy a TM then you definitely come to the wrong place lol :D
I have had my TM for 18 months and still love it as much today as I did when I first brought it. There is hardly a day goes say without it being used at least once (most of the time several times) I barely use my stove top anymore. And we eat so many different things now as I'm confident to try things that I wouldn't even think about before. And I have never regretted spending the money to buy one. :)

Welcome to the forum Linda.
We all love our thermomix machines and wonder what we would do without them.

Hi Linda. Welcome to the forum. Just think of all the lovely quick soups you can make in the TMX when it is cold in Canberra!

Yes Linda it is just what you need for your weather. I watch the temperatures over there as my brother lives there. You have been having some cold ones. -6, -5, -6 etc.
You definitely need a TMX to make lovely soups in a short while, lovely bread or rolls to go with it and of course lots of other delicious things.

Hi Linda,
I bought my TM in 2005 and have never regretted that decision for a minute. I never considered that I had purchased an expensive kitchen appliance but rather that I had made an investment in a lifestyle. At the same time that I purchased my TM, I also joined as a consultant and I have continued to sell TM's, not only because they do so much, are solid German quality and are very reliable but also because they enable the every day cook to do extraordinary things in the kitchen without having to constantly supervise the cooking. The TM is the perfect appliance to have to get back to basics and create healthy meals for the family without manufacturers additives. I have purchased four TM's so far. They make great gifts. You can't help but want to share something that is this good.
I've also written a health focused plant based recipe book which includes both the Thermomix Method as well as the conventional method for each recipe. I would never go to all that trouble if TM wasn't so very good.
All the best with your decision. if you are hesitant about outlaying the money, why not join as a consultant. I don't know of any other kitchen appliance that offers you the means to earn back the cost of your outlay and it's a great way to help others discover healthier ways to make their own food.

Welcome to the forum Linda! :D
I am a mum of 3 and have just purchased a second bowl and blade set - Now my TM is working twice as hard...! :D I love my TM and wouldn't be without it. The fact you can leave it to cook while doing something else was a big plus for me.
May I ask how many you usually cook for? Not that it matters - every kitchen should have a TM!!!!! :D

Hi Linda - a very warm welcome to the forum. For us the TMX has been a fantastic investment - whether it be for the control over what goes into the food/meal; whipping up a quick and nutritious meal for one; or for feeding larger numbers! It's the most used appliance in the kitchen. I have even taken to making our own bread! My DD also has one - her apartment is small and the kitchen tiny - so the TMX does virtually all the cooking there - from soups, breads, main meals, desserts, biscuits, cakes etc etc.
Can only echo the sound advice to have a demo and to see for yourself before making any decision. Good luck! Any questions you have, pop them on here and in no time there'll be plenty of answers! :D

Hi Linda, you have definitely come to the right place to be convinced you need a Thermomix. Our members range from the very experienced to keen newcomers who are blown away with what this machine can do. Joining this forum is another great option as the forum encourages people to use their machine to it's maximum potential. Have a browse at the different subjects we chat about on here and you will see why we all love it so much. Have you seen the TMX in action yet? This is the first step and usually, if you take your husband along to a demo, he will want you to buy one too (presuming you have one). Good luck with your decision to buy.

Hi Linda, welcome to the forum.
I you do decide to get a TMX and after you use it for a little while you will be thinking..... how did I manage without it. :)

Hey fellow Canberran!

Hi and welcome
-
Hello & welcome to the forum!
You won't regret it if you do buy a TMX.
-
Thank you for such encouraging words! I am looking forward to booking my demo and seeing for my self what his machine is capable of! The recipes and hints from the forum are amazing ! I am e vegetarian but cook meat dishes for the family, cooking two meals most nights and working 6 days a week, I really think the purchase price is justified!
I have seen machines on eBay from Spain, has anyone purchased a TM from this company?
-
Linda there is no warranty with machines bought from other countries or on eBay.

Actually yes there is - but you would have to send it back to spain I believe. One of my bros got one from spain off ebay for his wife, said it is exactly the same, apart from the plug. I'm not sure I could cope with the wait... a week is bad enough! :) Also know of another lady who purchased off ebay (not a close friend, a mum of one of Miss 5s classmates) who is extreemly happy with it and basically told me I had wasted $800 .... :-))

Yes you are right astarra, I was thinking no warranty from our HO. I don't know how people go with obtaining service from HO either if they buy off eBay - if you pay them I can't see why they wouldn't fix any problems.

Hello and welcome.
I dithered for years while saving up. Have had one since end of April and do not regret it all all. In June I ought a second bowl.
Life is short, we must all. Ate the most of it.
Enjoy a TMX and the forum.
