I am new to thermomixing............my daughter bought hers and fell for all its charms. Then became a seller of thermies. I dug my heels in long enough, procrastinated a bit more and finally took the plunge. I collect mine on Wednesday and get started. So I will be chasing all the hints, tips and recipes. I am a little set in my ways or normal cooking practices so all this will be a challenge to rethink the way I do things, but I am up for the challenge.
It seems there's been a trend over here in W.A. for new thermie owners to name their thermies...... mine will be called Lucille. :D
Cheers kaz

Hi Kez, welcome to the forum. Having a daughter who sells TMX's will be very handy if you have any questions but please feel free to ask on here for our advice as well - you will get lots of different advice, depending on the question. There are many of us on here who were set in their ways but it doesn't take long to see there are easier and quicker ways of doing things. Not everything is suitable for the TMX so you will find you may still do things the 'old way' from time to time. Enjoy your new kitchen helper and your time on our forum.

Hi Kaz. I hope your lucille does not pick a fine time to leave you. LOL!
Your daughter is a smart cookie to,sell, her mom a TMX. You will soon adapt. One of the first things I learned is that I can make a great tomato sauce in less than an hour instead of the couple of days on the stove.

Hi Kaz and welcome, you will be able to have some good cooking days with your daughter

Thankyou all for the warm welcome :) I picked up my Thermomix today......daughter is a two and a half hour drive away so I wont be dashing over to her house too often for lessons. Seems like a good community spirit here to ask questions and get some good advice and recipes. Will start off slow and maybe cook dinner tomorrow night, and dessert :D
