Wow what an amazing appliance....I love it so much already - was given this as a gift by my family - I am a very lucky mum! I am finding it hard to go to work as all I want to do is use my new thermie. It will change they way I cook from here on in. It's so easy. Just can't wait to read and learn as much as I can - so I will be a regular here with many questions I am sure.

welcome to the forum Suzispoon, ask away ;D

Welcome Suzispoon. All questions are welcome - none are good or bad or silly or stupid - we were all new to the TMX at some stage and have all asked questions - there is always someone here who will come up with an answer for you.
Enjoy your cooking.

Welcome to the forum suzispoon, hope your not going to try and read all the topics and posts on the forum :o, you would ever get time for cooking if that was the case lol.
This forum is great for hundreds of recipes and hints.
Happy cooking :)

Welcome suzispoon. It is wonderful that you have discovered the forum early in your thermomix career as it is a wonderful place to find recipes and get answers to the inevitable questions that come up. With our overseas members it is almost a 24 hour service on here. ;)

Hi and welcome to the forum Suzispoon. What a lovely family you have and now they will be expecting many treats to come their way from your new helper in the kitchen. When I joined this forum in Dec '08 I read every single posting and it took me 15 hours. Today I think it would be an impossibility to read everything but if you can spend some time doing so, it will be so useful to you. Check out our recipes and if you are going to make recipes from the cookbooks, it always pays to check out first to see if someone has done that particular recipe. We have a special thread here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=48.0) which lists all the cookbooks and links to comments. Ask as many questions as you need to, someone is always here to answer them and please do tell us which recipes you are making and post reviews if you have the time. Have fun and enjoy your TMX and this forum.

Hi All,
thanks so much for the warm welcomes!
I had an amazing day in the kitchen yesterday starting with my sourdough, made marmalade, carrot cake and then a curry from scratch! All were delicious.
Look forward to learning more from the forum.
I do have one question though - Is the dough mat (sill mat) worth purchasing? Are the any recommendations as to the best general cookbook for the thermie?
Thanks guys!
Suzispoon

Suzispoon, in Chit Chat there is a thread for URL links to TMX owners with blogs which is worth checking out. Sorry I can't link at the moment.
-
Will this help JD for the list of blogs, etc. . . I don't know how to link otherwise . . ???

Thanks gf, that's fine. I will be making a phone call to my provider later and ask how much longer this changeover is going to take - I think 5 days is stretching things a bit and I am Not Happy Jan!
