My GD, 9, wants one of these for her birthday. Has anyone got one, or know anything about it. I have googled it so know a little. Thanks in anticipation. ;D
-
I had one and found that things broke off it really quick. It might be me being a bit heavy handed but i mangled one of the seal rings, burnt down the rubber spinner in the base and snapped off most of the clear tabs on the containers/cups. You need to press down the cup thingy and twist to lock in the clear tabs to the base which then activates the machine which is why they broke off. Also very noisy and only good for small quantities. All in all would not rate this highly as it is just not robust enough. Hope this helps. :-\

I had one, it was a juicer, blender, 6 glasses, and 4 magic bullets.
You can get a knock off for about $40 at WW, or discount stores.
i gave mine away. :D not that good.
-
Sounds like she would be better off with a TMX Chookie - oops, a bit expensive for a 9 year old ;D
-
Thanks Kim and Obbie. Much as I thought. DH wants me to get her a Jamie Oliver thingo, but I am worried about the heat.
-
I have a magic bullet and love it. I even have the infomercial taped, I watch it quite a bit as it's sooo funny.
Mine is about 3 yrs old and held up very well.
There are mini food processes that start at about $65.00 if you think they would be more substantial but mine hasn't missed a beat. You can get magic buleets from Homeart or as Robyn says a knock off from Big W.
Get her one, it's a bit of fun for her.
By the way what did she think of the lolly teeth photo?
-
Thanks Michele. I think this is quite safe to use and if it doesn't last very long she might be ready for a TMX next .LOL.
She thought the teeth were real, and thought I had some very odd friends. They, the GC, are very protective of us, GP. They worry that we might get into trouble on the computer. How right they are, but not in the way they think. We are having 3 GC to stay for a week of the school hols. I am teaching them to us the TMX, they catch on very quickly. Jilly might bring her Magic Bullet .
We are off to Ballarat tomorrow to look after 2 while their mum works.

Chookie and Ral, that's lovely. I'm awaiting grandchildren - married DD did child care for her transitional year after HSC and it has been a wonderful form of contraception. DD is is only 25 yrs and is very career orientated (plenty of time though).
DGD is right on the money - you do have some odd friends that will put in lolly teeth for a photo. Did you tell her that you ate every pair you put in your mouth? (that was so funny) before the photo ???
-
Michelle that is funny. Good form of contraception.
-
My DD is a midwife an even better form of contraception :)
-
Yvette, that would work well too.
-
Ha ha ;D
No midwives in our family. :o
Just plenty of babies delivered by midwives as we have 10 GD's and number 11 due between Xmas and New Year ;D
-
Wow that's a lot of GD's
-
None in my family either,
I have 9 GK's plus two proxy's , Love them to bits (most of the time)I'm glad they came along when I was young I wouldn't like to be starting now. I get too tired, a day running around after a two year old has me in bed by 8.30.
-
I have friends younger than me that have grand kids...
-
I meant GK's not GD's :o
We have 7 GD's and 3 GS's
Yes I am glad ours started when we were young as they can be full on.
Love each one dearly and couldn't be without them.
They bring joy to our lives daily. ;D
-
MF that makes it a bit more even then :) :D
-
Yes it does Yvette but us girls still rule ;D ;D ;D

Magic Bullet, have made today. Bean, and garlic dip, avo and chick pea dip, tuna, Philly cheese, with cooked rice to thicken, dip. Handy little machine , not very robust, but will do the job. GD loves it. Easy to use and easy to clean.
-
Ah so you bit the bullet Chookie? Isn't she funny asking for one of those - she must want to become a good cook like her grandma.
-
Chookie had fun with the magic bullet...

That's so good Chookie - It makes great mocktails and pina coladas for the grown ups.
Omelette's are easy too and it makes 6 medium sized muffins in one go too.
-
Michele, eggs for breakfast. Muffins for morning tea. thanks.
-
I have a magic bullet, it was something I loved and used ALL THE TIME in the kitchen pre TMX. It's so useful and versatile. LOVE LOVE LOVE. The knock off's are just as good as the real thing too. (I've had both)

I gave mine away..

I loved using it. Bit tempted to get one. Jilly loves it, think I will get one for other GD.
-
I think they are great Chookie. Easy for kids to use. If you haven't watched the infomercial, you should watch it on youtube.
I have the advertisement recorded - I get a laugh everytime I watch it.
This time last year I was in a car accident and had to go to casualty - big screen TV on and DH said "look honey at least the magic bullet add is on that will take your mind off things."
-
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
I must look at this. ;D
-
Yes, Chookie you would enjoy the American and the Pom presenters.
-
Michele, could you hear me laughing?????
