Title: EVOO Chocolate Mousse - What's for Dessert
Post by: SuzieG on October 02, 2012, 07:06:40 am
I was very excited to try this, but alas the EVOO is too overwhelming for me.

I used a Cadbury old gold 70% chocolate (maybe this wasn't quite the quality Tenina had in mind?).  Perhaps I should also have chopped the chocolate for longer as the final result was quite grainy.

I also used a cobram estate light flavor EVOO.

I didn't yet try with berries, again perhaps this would help?

Here is a pic...

Hi Susie i havnt tried this recipe but   I love the chocolate mousse from EDC, lovely texture and not too sweet.\ I used the 70% chocolate to make it with.

Suzie the pic looks perfectly textured, but I do think you need the berries to cut back on the strength of the chocolate/EVOO flavour...hope you try again. Choosing the right oil is pretty important as well, you should be looking for one that actually states fruity on the label, there are a few around.

Well done....
