Title: Introducing myself and sending out a big "hello"
Post by: Csoki on October 27, 2012, 11:04:05 pm
Hi All,
My name is Klara, I live in Melbourne and I am addicted to my Thermomix... ooops, sorry, that would be another forum...  :D  ;D.  I have had my Thermomix for about 5 weeks and needless to say I love it! I did a fair bit of online research before buying it, so I am happy to say I got exactly what I expected and probably a lot more with my machine. I have been using my machine every day and have made some fantastic food but I have sooooo much more to learn, which brings me to this forum.

I am in awe of you, experienced TM owners, at the wonderful recipes and ways to make the most of your machine and hope to learn heaps.

Look forward to chatting and learning.

Cheers

Hello Klara, welcome to the forum and thanks for joining us.  Would love to hear what you have been cooking, whether it is recipes from the books or from this forum or from those found on the many blogs in existence.  We have a review section on the home page where all the books are listed and we would love for you to add your reviews if you have the time.  Perhaps you could share some of your own converted favourite recipes with us in time as well.  Enjoy our forum, it is a great place to be.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Chrissa, I am in Eltham :)
I have been making lots of different bread, tried various cakes, muffins, have made curry paste (old faithful recipe made better in the TM) and as I need to be dairy free, I am making my own almond milk every 3-4 days, which is fantastic. I have not bought a loaf of bread since my TM arrived! I am still learning how to actually cook in the TM, that will be a bit of a process for me. Oh and how could I forget: I currently have 3 different types of fruit sorbet in the freezer, which I cut into servings and re-blitz before eating. Yummy!
I expect it will take me a while to browse through some of the wonderful recipes. I am looking forward to the journey!  :)

Aussie Brenda, hope you are having fun on your beach holiday!
We go camping at any opportunity we can but usually use solar power, so my TM stays home, however it does come with me to out holiday house as I make heaps of cakes and other treats for our lovely neighbours who look after our house and cut our grass when we don't get down frequently enough to do it! ;)

I have converted a focaccia recipe I used to make manually before my TM days and would be happy to share with you all but I am not sure whether I will be able to post it correctly. I will experiment and see what happens... it is a bit "hardcore" but delicious :D.

Thank you for even more welcome messages! You are all so kind. Blackwood, I work in Wantirna, maybe meeting up is a real possibility :) Are you going to the next cooking class in Chirnside Park? It is the "festive season one" :)
