Haven't made cream cheese but you could try yoghurt cheese. Make yoghurt then drain through muslin cloth overnight (ie hanging from a chair over a bowl). Then you're left with yoghurt cheese that you could use as a substitute.

I've been making 'yoghurt cheese' instead of buying the kids cream cheese spread.  It's much healthier.

I strain it overnight through a coffee filter that sits inside a sifter over a bowl (not sure if I explained that well).

As it's made from natural yoghurt, it can be very tart.  I mix some honey through, just enough to make it a more neutral flavour.  So this recipe adapted from Cyndi O'Meara.

The cream chees you would make at home would not taste like Philly cream cheese but more like Cathy's yoghurt. Be fun to try though.

Hello
In a forum I visit in Portugal there was this recipe which many people have tried saying it came out just like the original - but the remark was made that Quark with 35% fat should be used.

500 grams Quark cheese
250 grams Butter
200 grams Creme fraiche
1/2 - 3/4 teaspoons salt

Place all ingredients in the Thermomix and program 6 minutes speed 4 temperature 70º

Remove from Tm and place in container and in fridge for at least 4 hours
After that time it can be used as wished, savoury or sweet.

How'd you go with this one Thermomixer?  It sounds interesting.  Creme Fraiche would mean cream?
