We left our garlic in the ground too long and when we dug it up today the cloves had lost their skins and separated. So I can't dry the garlic and read online I should keep in fridge and use ASAP. I am making Judy's garlic pizza sauce but still have 30+ cloves to use. Any ideas?

There's a classic... Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic.... If you don't have a recipe I can pm you one :)

If you have FFS, the garlice paste is a must :)

Yes I would make the garlic paste, that way your garlic will keep on providing for more meals and you could freeze some if there was much more than you needed.

Thanks ladies haven't sat down and read FFS yet only got if for Xmas. Off to look at recipe and make but sounds perfect. Thanks again.

Absolutely, Kimmyh!! As a matter of fact, I have plenty of garlic in the drawer atm - so now feel prompted to make some paste myself this afternoon!! :D

I have just bought 500g of just picked garlic and the grower said she puts most of hers in the freezer. Have others done that? I will have to look up on how to 'shell' the cloves in TM.

Could you put them in the freezer without 'shelling' them? It was just a thought.

The shells are already off cookie. Made the paste and it is gorgeous and used up all garlic. Also loved Judy's garlic pizza sauce too.
