Seeing the previous post reminded me about this.
Yesterday I saw some black garlic. It was reasonably expensive. I didn't buy any, but was wondering if anyone has ever used it and what it was like. We love garlic so wouldn't mind experimenting with black garlic.

What is black garlic? Have never heard of it.

Had me intrigue never heard of black garlic so asked mr google
Black garlic is a type of fermented garlic used as a food ingredient in Asian cuisine. It is made by fermenting whole bulbs of garlic at high temperature, a process that results in black cloves. The taste is sweet and syrupy with hints of balsamic vinegar[1] or even tamarind.[2] Black garlic's popularity has spread to the United States as it has become a sought-after ingredient used in high-end cuisine. It is unrelated to a genetically unique six-clove garlic also called black garlic and used in countries such as Korea, or with the ornamental plant Allium nigrum.

This was $7 or so for the pack. Because of unit pricing they had the price per kilo there. It was just over $228. It was that sight that stopped me buying any. :) :)

I wonder if the latest W booklet has a recipe to use it?

Lateral thinking CP. It will at least give some ideas hopefully.
