Title: Thermoserver?
Post by: past94x on January 14, 2013, 02:58:07 pm
Does anyone know if these are available to buy in the UK please?
Thermomix UK do not stock them.
Thankyou

I've asked similar things before, unfortunately the answer is no the Thermoserve appears to be Aus only (much like I believe the TMX silicone mat). You can buy something similar from your local Indian store and Tupperware do a similarish thing.

There have been threads in here before, but I'm on the mobile at the moment.

Oh dear, what a shame. I'll have to investigate a similar product. Thanks so much for your reply.

I emailed Thermomix Aus. and they tell me the Thermomix is not for sale, even in Australia. It is just used as a gift for hosting a demo. What a shame?

The thermosavers are cheap on eBay and you get a set of three with postage $50

Thanks for that. I've just looked on Ebay and to buy a set of three & have them sent to the UK is going to cost me about £76 (that's about 115 Australian dollars) I think there's then also a possibility that when they arrive in England there will also be a customs charge payable. I think I'll give them a miss. Shame, they sound wonderful and are very nice to look at, but that's too expensive.

Some nice products on that link CC. Love the Pinnacle Thermal serving bowl in red and white and the Double wall stainless steel serving bowl without a lid looks a lot like our Thermosaver here.  There is a lid available separately but whether that fits this particular bowl or not, I'm not sure.

I found this in our local Indian grocery store... IMO they're even more efficient than the thermoserver .... (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/19/ve8ygezy.jpg)

It looks very nice GF - they only had plastic when I looked in our Indian shop.

Speaking of Indian shops, there are a couple across the road from the Adelaide Central Market so retreaters coming to the August retreat can be taken to that shop if anyone is interested.

Ask the seller to write gift on the box to avoid the tax.

We only have the Cookbooks or anything kitcheny to give away (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11680.0) thread Uni but I could add 'or sell' to the heading for you or you could just start a new selling thread.

That is probably a good idea. Maybe we should have a 'free to a good home' thread too. What do you think Judy and CC ?
