I'm sorry for not sticking to the definition of this section, but I thought you'd be interested to see some fresh spice pics we took in India recently:

1.  Mustard in the field:

2.  Cumin at the same farm (young plants):

Wow, cecilia... What a fantastic experience !!! Those photo are great.  How long we're you in india?

Have been in Bangladesh and India for the Summer school hols, visiting our daughter. I have been delighted to look out for new taste sensations.  The main thing with the spice is just the freshness.  I haven't seen too many we don't have in Australia.  Cumin has to grow in desert conditions.  I'd never seen the plant before the other day.  Thanks for your interest, Goldfish.
