Sesame Seed Slice
Preheat oven to 150 degrees and line a slice pan with baking paper.
Into the TMX bowl goes....
250g sesame seeds (I substituted 50g with chia seeds)
1 1/2 cups coconut (I used a little bit of coconut but mainly almond meal, so we got good fats ;))
50g crunchy peanut butter
25g sugar
75g honey
1 tsp vanilla
Mix on reverse + speed 3 until well combined. The mixture looks loose but it will stick together when you press it into the pan.
Bake 30 - 40 minutes or until cooked through.
Slice in pan while warm but leave in pan to cool completely.
This is converted from a Women's Weekly Cookbook. YUM :D

Kimmyh - it's delicious. And healthy. Very happy thanks Amy for sharing.
Uni - no luck for me with this recipe. I added 100g of melted butter and re baked it but that didn't help.
Kimmyh - Mine is fine. It does crumble a little when cut but not like your Uni. I did mix it for a good minute to make sure it was combined. I also did Amy's tweaks with almond meal and chia inclusions. DS3 loves it and DS5 (the princess) thinks it is bird seed and it scratched his throat on way down.
Uni - I added a little condensed milk and made Sesame Seed Balls - yum.
-
Yum. Buying some sesame seeds in the next shop and will make this.
-
Yummy Amy. Have sesame seeds already. Guess I am making this tomorrow :)
-
I hope you both like it!! :D

Made this today and its is delicious. And healthy. Very happy thanks Amy for sharing.

Would kids like this? :)
-
This kid does ;D
I'm not sure astarra, have the girls ever had sesame snaps? Or sesame bars? Sesame seeds don't have a very strong flavour, so the honey and peanut butter flavour are the main things you can taste :)
-
My boys will try it tomorrow but I don't think they will like it. It's more for grown ups Astarra I think. Will let you know what they think.
-
I love sesame snaps fine their thinness and crispness. I am not so narrow minded tho to think that I may also love this for its taste similarity. Have printed off to try at some stage...

-
Not sure, Bella do you have any idea
-
Well it looks like it didn't stick at all.... but with 75g honey and 50g peanut butter it should have stuck ???
Kimmy didn't say she had any problems with it sticking....
I'm sorry Uni, I'm at a loss :(
-
dont be sorry Bella **** happens ;D
-
I like your attitude Uni ;D
What will you do with the mixture?
-
i will try a little condensed milk and make Sesame Seed Balls.
-
They sound yummy Uni, I hope they work out :D
-
Uni, I love how condensed milk is your answer to a failed batch of this sesame seed slice - I'm sure it will taste lovely and you have then created another recipe altogether.

Is this as hard as sesame snaps please? It doesn't look it.
-
No its not hard at all cookie. The edges are a bit chewy, but the most of it is just like a cakey texture :D
-
Not hard as I can eat it fine with my braces :D
Not allowed to eat lollies or pork crackling though.
-
;D
yum
-
Nice balls Uni ;D
-
Yummy uni and all stuck together ;)
-
Clever Uni.
