Title: Hello from a real novice
Post by: Cooking Mad on January 25, 2013, 05:28:54 am
Hi all,

I am not yet a Thermo owner but I currently have a Bellini as my hubby said to trial something cheaper before investing in a thermo just to see if I like this way of cooking.  So far I am loving it & cant wait to be an owner of a thermo now I just need to wait until I go back to work at the end of the year to get one  ;D  But for now I am happy

I look forward to getting to know you all

Hi CM, welcome to the forum.  Small steps - Bellini now and the big guns later  ;)  It's fun using these thermal cookers, isn't it?

Hi CM - have to confess that I had no idea what a Bellini is - however I googled and am up there with the programme.
Obviously don't have a Bellini but am loving my Thermomix and this way of cooking.  So much easier - cheaper and healthier.
Enjoy the Bellini, the Forum and the anticipation of the TMX to come.

Hi CM and welcome! I love my TMX and often think it would be handy to have two...I've considered buying a Bellini as a second machine for when TMX is busy!

Thanks for the welcome ladies :)

Sure is fun.  I am loving it and cant wait to get a thermo.  Will wait until we are in our new house as we are packing up this one atm.

I am loving the Bellini atm and I hope I am a lucky one who doesnt have a problem with it as it has made my life easier.  I have been to a demo for tmx & both myself & hubby loved it but couldnt justify spending that much on a way of cooking we didnt know if we would like or appreciate.

Any recipes which are to die for would be great too xx

CM there are lots of 'to die for' recipes on the forum. What sort of thing are you looking for specifically? Mains, baking desserts ?

Welcome cooking mad.  We are pleased to have you use our recipes but please remember that the recipes here are written for the TMX.  There are some differences,  not just the price.  ;D
Bread is one area where you will find you are unable to get a good result.    let us know how you go.

Oh thanks for letting me know.  Will there be anyway to tell if it will work or not? or will it just be trial & error?  Hubby is getting persuaded to buy the real thing with what I have been making.  So far made beef strog, honey mustard chicken, mash & custard

You might like to check out what Emerald Sue makes as she is a good cook and has a similar machine.
