Hi there,
I have 1kg mince and would love to just double the recipe I have rather than doing it twice. Would I still work?
Recipe asked for 500g mince.
Thanks
Mel

Madhouse, I've never seen a Spag Bol recipe using 1kg mince in the TMX - I think you would be pushing to get that amount in there and it is not wise to overload your machine. If you want to use the whole quantity of mince personally I would cook it on the stove top or slow cooker. What does everyone else think.

I think you're right Judy. Taking into account the extra liquid needed as well, I think the TMX would be really overloaded.
Personally, I would do a big batch like that in my slow cooker :)

I ended up using the TMX for the veggies and herbs etc then chucked it all in a frypan. It turned out beautiful and my 2 fussy eaters had 2 bowls each!! Yay.

Well done Madhouse! Pleased to hear you made it work :D

A wise way to do it I think. The tmx would probably have been overloaded.

Double is not good.
Don't ask me how I know!
Advice would be, if specifically wanting to use TMX, to do it in two batches.
Or another cooking method as others suggested!
HTH others!
