Title: Has anyone made bath products?
Post by: chardie18 on April 04, 2013, 01:00:03 pm
No that it is getting colder I'm looking for some nice bath products. Just wondering if anyone has made some bubble bath or bath bombs?

Thanks,

Charde

I've dabbled in all of that! I get my ideas/recipes/supplies from Aussie Soap Supplies
http://aussiesoapsupplies.com.au/
and more ideas from
http://soapqueen.com/

lots of fun!!! Addictive though!
I've made handmade soap and melt and pour glycerine soap too.
bubble bath, bath bombs, shampoo, conditioner, facial scrubs, etc.
Fun!!!

Chardie, there are a few recipes in A Taste of Vegetarian for hand/face cream, scrubs, face masks, bath soak, body mist and a bath bomb recipe.  I would read this (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2550.0) page before you try anything though.

I'm not affiliated with aussie soap supplies but I love them (really nice people too!)
They do sell various types of preservatives if you make for instance, face cream, and want to preserve it for a while, they sell stuff for people who actually go on to sell finished products. However saying this I haven't seen the "taste of vegetarian" book. I think a friend has it, I might have a look. I'm picky with books as I don't eat grain nor do I eat sugars (however at the moment I do eat the likes of Natvia)... so even gluten free recipes aren't restrictive enough for me.

This said, making stuff is a lot of fun!!!
