Am very excited, all the paperwork is done, just waiting for the actually deliver now. Bit embarassing that I get this excited over a machine but hey its going to change my way of life and hopefully the health and wellbeing of my family with all the wonderful things I will be cooking up!!!
;D
Looking forward to my very first meal from my new Thermomix. Any suggestions what should be my first meal that will WOW everyone!
Kind regards
Cathie

Hello and welcome,it is very exciting waiting for the arrival of your tmx
I think my first meal was Spaghetti and meatballs very easy and very yummy
-
Oh how exciting for you - don't be embarrased - just enjoy the anticipation. My first meal was the Creamy Garlic Prawn Risotto in Seafood and Fish - sorry need to work out how to insert a hyperlink. My DH who does not even know where the kitchen is (except to place dirty plates on the sink) has even made this. Friend brought her TMX and the two DH's cooked for eight of us while we sipped champagne (and supervised). Still my favourite standby. I used frozen prawns which are always ready but of course fresh if available.

Hello and welcome CathieT! :D
How many in your family? The first thing I cooked for the family was Cheese and bacon buns off here... but for dinners...depends what your tastes are, tonight we are having the bangers and mash recipe from All-in-one meals. :)

Hi CathieT and welcome. A risotto would make a great first meal or soup. Happy cooking :)

Hello and welcome Cathie! I agree with Kimmy, a risotto is definitely a WOW meal ;D Or an All-In-One steamed meal using the Varoma, like non-fried rice ;)

Thank you all for all the warm wishes and welcome.
Well I have had my Thermi for exactly 1 week, unfortunately I had to spend 3 days away from home as I had to attend a conference away and I missed my Thermi!!!
So far I have cooked/made butter x 4, Beef Strogonoff, Butter chicken, chocolate mouse, 2 x family meat pies, chorizo pasta, mango sorbet and the list goes on. I so love my Thermomix, my sceptical husband is very very impressed by it and even cooked with it last night!
I have 3 kids aged 17, 14 & 9, I work full time an volunteer 3-4 times a month as well so my Thermi is getting a good workout. Problem is I spend all my time at work on the net looking for what to cook next, I even dreamed about it last night!!!!
Looking forward to getting to know you all on the forums xxxx

That grass under your feet didn't stand a chance CathieT!! ;D ;D ;D That's an impressive list of dishes you've already come up with. It's interesting once the men see it in action, all that scepticism just seems to melt away . .
