Yum Yum Yum!!
Now I am no star in the kitchen, I have recently purchased by Thermy and now I'm the master chef!
I followed the recipe except I couldn't find shrimp paste so I used fish sauce (1Tbs) and used coconut milk (400g, the whole tin) then I set the thermy for 100 degrees for 40 mins then I turned it up to varoma for 15mins and steamed some veggies at the same time.
I don't eat rice, instead I make cauliflower rice and this was steamed in the last 15 mins.
The meat was tender, not a lot of liquid but it was soooooooooooo tasty.
it was so easy, yay for thermomix ;D

ffindley, do you mean the Beef Rendang from the Everyday Cookbook that came with your Thermomix? If so, I will link your review to those from the book once you have clarified that. Have you seen our review section, it always pays to check out that before making a recipe - sometimes the tweaks are worth knowing. Here's (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4014.0) some reviews from this recipe you made from the EDC.
Welcome to the forum. Why not pop over to the Introduce Yourself section on the Home Page and tell us a bit more about yourself, where you live etc. That way out members get the chance to officially welcome you onto the forum.
