Post by: vivacity on July 10, 2009, 06:20:53 pm
For about 20 slices

Ingredients:
200g amaranth
50g polenta
250g mineral water
1 pinch of salt

1) Mill amaranth 20s/speed 10.
2) Add other ingredients and mix 20s/speed 4.
3) Use a tablespoon to spread heaps of the mixture onto a baking sheet covered with baking paper and then use a damp fork to spread out each heap into a rectangle which is 3-5mm thick. Bake in preheated oven.

Oven temperature: 200C
Baking time: 40 mins.

Stupid question probably.............do you cut them before baking or break the sheet apart afterwards?  What sort of size baking tray would this cover?

Thanks Vivacity.

i think you could do it either way depending on the look you want - if doing it before it would be easiest with a pizza wheel :)

They are made into little rectangles (instead of round biscuits) so they should not need breaking up, unless you have pushed them too close together.  ;)
