Title: Beef & Zucchini Meatballs review - page 157 Baby & Toddler book
Post by: judydawn on May 28, 2013, 04:08:13 am
No trouble choosing something from the book for GS's lunch today - his favourite meal is meatballs, his most unfavourite vegetable is zucchini so this was perfect.

I added a tsp garlic paste but that was the only addition for this recipe.  I managed to get 32 meatballs, enough for us both for lunch and a pack to send home with him tonight.  He kept saying 'mmm yummy' whilst eating this meal and I enjoyed them too. I couldn't coax him into have any of the vegie-au-gratin I made though.

Were the meatballs moist Judy? My girl like meatballs as long as they are moist.  :) TIA

Yes Astarra, they were certainly not dry.  I am not a great meatball lover but even I enjoyed these.

Astarra have you tried adding breadcrumbs which have been soaked in milk to your meatballs? We've doing that since seeing it on Gordon Ramsey's show and it makes a big difference.

Made these the other day. They are so simple and very soft when moulding. I used the oven method and was very happy with how they turned out. Makes just a little more than it says and this is quite a large size. Lovely light texture.
