Gidday everyone! I am a new member as of yesterday. Hoping I might have been the 500th? I have been visiting this forum ever since I saw the TM31 back in about April. I had not seen nor heard anything about the TM but when I saw it and tasted the food cooked with it - WOW! I purchased about 5-6 weeks ago (had to save a bit) and I haven't looked back.
My wife took a little convincing at first (she wasn't at the demo where I first saw it) but we all went along to our delivery demo and she has used it to make biscuits/ bread/ fettucini bolognaise/ and uses it to help prep meals. I love useing my Bimby as we call it. I've made butter, cashew nut butter, dips, and right now I am cooking a whole chook in the Varoma. I love steaming chicken and fish in the Varoma. The taste is so much better than a piece of oily fried chicken. My kids love steamed lemon chicken. We use it everyday. I make green smoothies for me, banana and berry milkshakes for the kids and they love the custard and sorbets. Looking forward to hearing from you all and sharing some cool recipes and ideas.
Cheers! ;)

Hi and welcome Scatman to you and your wife. Nice to see both of you using your Bimby - I envy women who have husbands who can and will cook a meal and give them the night off.

Hi Scatman,
Welcome from another real newbie - and sorry but I pipped you to the 500th honour - you are 501! (I think!). my TMX arrived last Thursday night - and I haven't looked back either.
So welcome and hope we all have a lot of fun here.
Cheers,
Catherine

What name does Rick go under Thermomixer? His name crops up occasionally and then there is his blog - who is he?

LOL - no, just that he showed that he can use a TMX, albeit without the Butterfly !!!

Pretty easy to guess - Ricks Thermomix Blog (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?action=profile;u=30)
But he hasn't logged in since Oct last year - he has been busy doing TMX stuff - but not here.
-
Welcome to you both. Have Fun!!
