And a wholly unexpected and richly undeserved prezzie for moi. And a collectors edition as that. A quick look tells me it is more useful to me than the Sally Wise book. I just happen to have some Osso Bucco in the freezer. Dinner any one?

I just came on for the first time now and found this thread and all your photos :D

DH laughed too.

On a serious note we had a wonderful day with Gert and her lovely DH. They very kindly picked us up and took us to the station to catch the train to Kuranda and then took us to a lovely restaurant overlooking the Coral Sea at Trinity Beach for lunch. Great food and fantastic company and you can't get better than that :D

Who needs Mr Google for directions when we have Gert helping. She very kindly sent me directions from the airport to our hotel. Then directions from hotel to the Skyrail station and also from there to the villa we are staying in here at Port Douglas. What a wonderful welcome to FNQ

A very kind lady. Thank you Gert :D

Who would have thought when I had my TMX delivered 12 months ago that it would have opened up such friendships around not only Australia but overseas as well.

Tomorrow we will see Port Douglas as we haven't gotten there yet. Our friends villa is about 3km from town. It's so lovely I don't want to leave :)

It was a lovely drive over and down direction wise. Around 2 hours each way. The way back was longer than the route we took on the way there but we didn't want to go back the same way.

Looking forward to meeting lots more lovely people in Adelaide :D

Just back from a lovely lunch at Salsa Port Douglas with Gert and her DH Ted.
3 hour lunch with lovely food, wine and great company.
They are on their way back to Cairns now so I thought I would get this in first. !
A bit dark to see properly but a beautiful spot.

I love this book. I did buy one but gave it away much to my regret so I am most grateful for this generous gift.

A lovely lunch was had. Great food. Lively conversation and yummy wines.
