Hi Guys
My name is jess- i am from Adelaide. I got my thermomix about a month ago. I used to love cooking- but after I got married and moved in with hubby- it wasn't so much of a fun hobby- more of a daily chore. So hubby picked up the slack and did most of the cooking- although this resulted in mostly pasta from the jars, or stir fries.
Since I got my little Robochop I have revitalised my love for cooking. I don't really follow receipes (and I have to say some of the receipes in the EDC are pretty dreadful) so I just adapted my own receipes for the thermomix.
I love how easy it makes cooking!

A warm welcome to the forum, Jess . . . you'll find heaps of recipes here to keep you going - and also lots of advice on just about anything! ;D ;D Two lists you should have a look at, if you haven't already, are CreamPuff63's list of tried and tested favourites here
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6470.0 and just recently added, a list of wonderful recipes by Chelsea(Thermie Groupie) in this thread, http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=13567.0 . . for links to other of her very popular recipes you'll need to scroll down just a wee bit for the list that CP63 very kindly put together.
Have fun - and any questions, just pop them on and you'll have plenty of suggestions/advice pretty quickly. Looking forward to hearing how you're getting on. Are you training your DH to use the TMX , too? ;D

Hi Jess, welcome from this part of Adelaide. Nice to have you on board and I look forward to seeing the recipes you may like to share with us. It'll be interesting to see if DH takes an interest in using the Thermomix as well or whether he is quite happy to have you take over the cooking duties now that you have the world's best kitchen helper at your fingertips. Have fun :)

Welcome to the forum Jess. It is wonderful that you have got your cooking mojo back. Sadly we all seem to lose it occasionally and it becomes I chore.
There are lots of lovely recipes on here for you to try.

Welcome to the forum Jess. You may want to read the reviews and tweaks that go along with the EDC and other recipe books before you cook them. Great that you are adapting your own recipes. Have fun and any questions you just have to ask. :)

Wow. You guys are all so welcoming! Thank you so much!
I am loving going through the recipes. I've already got some receipes up my sleeve that I want to post but just going through the ones avalliable at the moment to make sure I don't do a double up.

Welcome Jess! I look forward to reading your recipes... It is a good idea to check if recipes are here on the forum first... I've converted a number of recipes that I thought might be "different" (spinach and pumpkin pie, doughnuts for a donut maker, Maggie Beers mac & cheese etc) only to find someone had already shared! This forum has an amazing store of recipes from all over the place!
Happy Cooking!
