Hi all, my name is Narelle and I'm from beautiful sunny Melbourne (well it is today!).
I've got two young boys, 22mths & 4mths old. I brought a TMX originally as my first son had allergies, fast forward 18mths and now my new son does too! Having the TMX means I know exactly what goes in to all of our food.....
When I use it that is!! So I confess, I've had it 12 months now and so far it's been an expensive blender! So I'm trying to get motivated again, hence joining this forum :)
Life is busy as a single mum with two such young bubba's, so I'm hoping I get inspiration from all of you to at least start using it to its advantage. Please forgive the silly questions to start with!

Welcome Narelle you really do have your hands full. Once you've mastered using the TMX you'll find it very quick, the forum is a great place to find recipes, help and inspiration.

Welcome to the forum, Narelle. You do have a busy life with two tiny ones . . .I know you have allergies to consider, however, have you been able to have a look at the book, "Thermomix Cooking for your Baby and Toddler" by Louise Fulton Keats? You can check out the contents and some reviews of the recipes here . .http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=13162.0
Good luck and don't forget that you can ask any questions, etc. here and you'll get all the help/advice we can muster for you. Looking forward to hearing more from you soon.

Welcome Narelle. Hopefully by looking through the forum and asking questions we can get you motivated again.
What would you like to make first? Then we can give you some suggestions.

There is a thread here (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=32.0) about special diets/allergies.

Hi and welcome to the forum Narelle. It does sound as if you need us ;D Just being on here and seeing what others are cooking is enough to inspire anyone who has lost their mojo.
-
Hello and welcome Narelle. :D
You certainly sound busy - which is where TM comes in to help, so ask any Qs and you will almost always get very prompt replys which should get you into using your TM to a fuller extent. :)

Welcome to the forum Narelle.

Hi Narelle and welcome. There is no such thing as a silly question, so ask away :)

Hi Narelle & welcome to the forum.

Hi and welcome to the forum Narelle.
-
Thanks everyone :)
I've spent the past few days going through recipes and have a list to try. Tonight I made a chicken and vegetable risotto, which even my currently fussy toddler ate. Very happy about that. Also made the apricot & coconut balls from the new Toddler book and they were delicious!

That toddler book is getting some great reviews.

Welcome to the forum Narelle :)

Guys I do have a quick question please! Not sure if I should start a new thread?
I'm trying to save recipes on the website (recipe community) but nothing happens?? It allows me to add ingredients to my shopping list, but not 'add to collection'.
I really don't want to print everything out - what am I doing wrong? Thank-you.
-
Hi Narellec -I've never use the recipe community website but just had a go now. You need to be logged in to save recipes, then any one you save to your collection is put in the saved folder in your profile tab (if this makes sense). If you look at the top of the web page you'll see the 'profile' tab - click on this and choose 'my recipes' from the dropdown menu, then choose 'favourites' from the left hand side of the web page (unless you created a new folder). the recipe you saved should be in there.
Hope this helps!

Persist Narelle, once it becomes second nature there is no lookng back. It is hard to get your head around new machines when you are busy with 2 littlies. Have a look at cp63 favourites , there is sure to be somethings to try on there. Have fun.

Hi Narelle & welcome!
I put all my other appliances and even a couple of pots in another room to make me use my tmx! I'm glad I did. Thermomix Cooking, it is a different way of cooking but you'll get used to it and there's always someone here to help :)
-
Welcome Narrelle! This is a fantastic forum. You will be using your TMX a lot more now :)
-
Thanks again everyone!
I'm pleased to report I've used it several times since joining this forum 😊 a few risottos, some biscuits, porridge, chicken curry, steamed salmon & veggies!
My only issue is not being able to save the recipes - aarrgghh! I've done as suggested by PP, I'm logged in but when I hit 'add to recipe collection' nothing happens. It doesn't appear in my saved recipes tab/profile. I'll keep persisting!

Oh and the 30sec orange cake which was devine! I made it in to cupcakes and added poppy seeds :)
