Hi everyone :)
My name's Mae and I'm in Canberra, Australia. I ordered my Thermomix yesterday and am sooo psyched to receive it! *taps foot*
Looking forward to finding some good recipes through this forum :)

Hello Mae, welcome to the forum. It is an exciting time for you and you'll find the waiting very difficult but we can fill that gap here. Have a good browse of the forum, choose some recipes which take your fancy and go shopping to make sure you are ready to go once delivery has taken place. Catch up on your housework too because one the TMX arrives, you will be too busy playing with that to want to do anything else ;D
One of the benefits of using our recipes is that a lot of them have reviews/tweaks which can be very helpful. We also have a review section for all the books which are available for the TMX so it pays to see what others think of a recipe before you try it.
Thanks for joining us, have fun!

Welcome to the forum Mae. Hope you don't have to wit too long before your TM arrives.

Hi Mae. I see you are having some cold weather over there at the moment. When you have your thermomix you will be able to whip up soup so easily and quickly.
Judy has supplied excellent advice. When your thermomix arrives you will want to cook, cook and then cook.

Hello Mae and welcome to the forum. Hope your TM arrives soon.

Hi Mae and welcome

Thanks everyone!
Great tips judydawn! I should also go and buy some more containers to store all the food that I'm going to make!
I've already started collecting recipes on the recipe community website, and will start looking around for some good Thermomix food bloggers.
I've also booked in to go to a Varoma cooking class in mid-October. It's been a year since I went to a Thermomix demo and it was just the basic one, so I've never seen the Varoma in action. Plus the menu sounded really delicious.
My consultant says my Thermie should arrive the week of the 23rd. It seems so far away...

What, no recipes from our forum :o :D ;)
Here's (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8228.0) a list of TMX blogs - heaps of them ;D
-
Hello and welcome Mae. :D
Do let us know when your thermie arrives, won't you - unless you are just far to busy cooking of course ;)
-
astarra - I shall. I'll be posting it on FB and telling everyone at work too :P
JD - wow, that's one long list of blogs! And I've already spent most of today looking through the recipes on this forum and copying them to be printed... very slow day at work today! :)
-
It sounds as though you will be well prepared.

Hi Mae and welcome to the Forum. The waiting is just awful but it does give you time to thoroughly confuse yourself as to what you want to cook first. Hopefully not too long so have fun when it arrives.

I got *the call* last night, and today is officially Thermomix day!
Now I have the difficult task of choosing my first recipe to make tonight to convince the husband that Hermie the Thermie was a good investment. Something desserty... because my consultant is delivering it at 7.30pm and will be spending an hour with me to show me how to use it.

Custard is easy and tasty. Sorbet is nice too.
Happy cooking.
