Title: Meals away
Post by: Itsnotartitsdinner on September 28, 2013, 10:01:20 pm
We are having a week away in Pt Douglas and I want to take The T Boss away with us. What are some good meals that don't take too many ingredients that you would do? We eat everything.

Bolognese
Risotto
Steamed fish and veg
Enchiladas or fajitas
Chicken curry (make the curry paste beforehand)
Pizzas (great way to use up left overs on your last night or two)

Hi INAIT
More ideas:
Beef, chicken, seafood done on the barbie with salads  & fresh rolls. (We love coleslaw or potato salad with creamy cashew mayo)
Dips, cheeses, deli meats or smoked salmon with crudites and sourdoughs or crackers. (Herb & garlic dip, tuna dip are our favourites but there are loads more)
Risotto, pasta with tuna or soup on the last night to use everything up.
Recipes are all on here or in the EDC
Have fun at Port Douglas :)

If you are going to Port Douglas forget everything and have lunch at Salsa. If not then the Tin Shed on the inlet.. Bookings a week in advance is a  Must at Salsa.

No booking at the tin shed but if you want the good table for lunch get there at 1100.

Mama Fergie will back me up about Salsa. I have pics somewhere here  of the meals.  Best restaurant in our area .

Baf's chicken is another good one. All the variations will be helpful too.
Peanut chicken.

Thankyou all! No stove here so glad we brought Thelma.

Yes have been to Salsa before Gert. :) we have bought prawns for dinner tonight. Hoping to make a creamy garlic prawn penne in Thelma. Think I will need to make it up as I go though as can't find any recipes even close.
