Title: Can anyone reccomend a car carrying company

I had a quote from Melbourne to Cairns, and I paid a deposit, and accepted the quote, and now they have phoned and doubled the quote, and said they made a mistake. :'(



any  recommendations please.

I'm sorry I can't recommend anyone Robyn.

I think it is very poor form to renege on the quote especially when you had paid the deposit. Did you have the quote in writing?
If you did then I'm sure they would have to honour it. Peoples word and a handshake isn't what it use to be.

Get back to them Robyn as I am sure they are supposed to honour it. Unless they have some fine print hidden somewhere.  :P

now they are charging me $1900,

Price should have been $2500.

has the car already been taken to them to transport?

did you get quotes from other similar companies?
