I tried the parsley custard component of this recipe last night but had trouble extracting enough juice from my home grown parsley. I had more success with a bunch of curly leaf parsley than the Italian type which was going to seed and therefore maybe the leaves didn't have enough moisture in them. In the end I couldn't get enough so added a few drops of green food colouring to get the colour I wanted.
I would certainly do this again with the freshest and nicest parsley I could find (I've just planted another 6 plants with this recipe in mind) and it would be perfect for serving on St Patricks Day. Just a slight twang of parsley flavour but I really enjoyed it. I froze the chopped, leftover de-juiced parsley leaves and have frozen them to add to other recipes.
This recipe is served with banana sand, slices of fresh banana dried out in the oven overnight then blitzed and sprinkled on the plate with a dollop of the parsley custard.

Oh sorry Judy but my stomach is churning with the thought of parsley custard and banana!

Not everyone's cup of tea Bonsai but I'm sure the kids would think it was fun ;D
-
Is this a dessert?? Maybe for Xmas with something white and / or red with it?
-
Yes, definitely a dessert Marina. It's one of those cheffy creations where they 'throw' some custard on a plate then 'throw' some banana sand on the plate as well IYKWIM.

I'm with Bonsai, that combination just doesn't sound appealing to me.

Parsley with custard...? :-X
-
Have to agree that it is not an appealing combination.

Interesting combination, I think I would have to try it before ruling it out but it's not working for me either

A week ago I would have said yuk. However I had a passion fruit and basil macaron at Zumbo's and it was very refreshing. So I would try this.
What made you select it to make Judy?
-
Because it was easy, it had few ingredients and the novelty factor intrigued me Cookie.

I don't fancy this at all, however as we can grow parsley easily i will try it. Judy, thanks for the review.

Love to see what you think of it Chookie. I've planted 6 new parsley seedlings as mine left a lot to be desired I think.
