Title: Chemicals in your food
Post by: Cuilidh on January 21, 2014, 08:06:36 pm
I found this (http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2014/01/chemistry-teacher-shows-why-you-shouldnt-always-mistrust-chemicals-in-food/) to be an amusing but very interesting twist on the chemicals in food.

An interesting read. Did anyone ever watch Checkout on ABC a while back? They did similar things to this.

Thats certainly food for thought  ;)

I often wonder too how many times I'm actually eating organic food that hasn't been labelled as such and am paying the "normal" price? (I know that thought is probably not relevant to the article but I just popped it in)

Thank you, a very interesting read. I wholeheartedly agree with variety and balance without the fads. Pleased we now have an australian producer of quinoa as I enjoy it and would ate to think I was contributing to the needy being deprived.

I agree, I always buy the Australian quinoa.  You will always have fad diets and foods, that is just the way of things, but I can't help but think the quinoa is a valuable contribution to our diet, even if it is considered to be a fad at the moment.

Thanks Marina .  Interesting.  I thought Black rice was the Fad of the moment.  Just had to buy some.
