Hope this is not too rude, wondering if there are any TM31s going to be sold from our forum members upgrading??
I'm still undecided which way to go (new TM5 or second hand TM31) but after seeing pics of them together I know that I would be annoyed with them not looking the same if I have one of each side by side on my bench :-)) :-)) :-)) And I can't afford 2 TM5s :(, so know I am swaying to a second 31, but DH likes the idea of the touch screen etc, so.....
Anyhow, just thought I'd throw the question out there to see what is about, and maybe others might be wondering the same thing...??
Mods - delete if this is not a suitable thing to ask.

I am selling my TM31, I advertised it yesterday.
I have ordered my TM5, and waiting for it to come. :) I still will have 2 machines, on my bench.

I'm also interested. I was buying one. However the seller has decided just not to respond to me. I can see she has seen my messages but just chosen to ignore. Who does that. Very annoying. Any how I'm still looking. Been told the price will come right down once the tm5 hit the marketplace. A few more weeks.
-
Robyn I'm sorry. I have no idea why TT won't let me into my messages to reply to you.
-
No, I've decided even if I order a TM5 on Wednesday at my demo, I will keep both. I've gotten my monies worth from my TM31 so don't need to recoup any $$. I'm quite looking forward to having two to play with.
-
Astarra, that was my first thought too!!! I'm not sure how I would cope with the different look either!
Although having said that, I would be a very happy chappy with two, regardless of looks on my bench!
-
I'll be selling my TM31 but will be waiting a while. I really don't have a need for 2 and would prefer to spend as little as possible in changeover even though I've certainly had great use from my TM31.

My SIL lives in Northam WA and is selling her TM31 with an additional Bowl and blade set for $1000. PM me if you want further info.
-
I'm not selling mine. I can't wait to have them side by side. I am going to hide or try to sell the HMP though. But I will wait until the thermomix hype stops.
-
Wish I had known, Astarra. I sold mine on Wednesday. Would have loved to have sold it on the forum. Didn't know whether or not that would have been OK?
You all know how I love to give my unused kitchen items away on the forum. :)

Wow, that is a real bargain... I am now buying Obbie's TM31 so can't get this one as well, thought I would make a post here so anyone else looking for one knows this one may still be available....(I have no idea if it is) ;D
But if no one snaps it up I do know my big sister is keeping her eyes peeled for one, but she is in NZ.....

Would have been interested, but its all good :)
Thanks tho :-*

I'm still looking so if selling please pm me. CP I smsd your sister haven't heard yet. Thanks.

Mine is going to my Aunt for $1200. Officially it's on loan for warranty purposes but since she heard the offer it will now have a new seal and another 12 months warranty. My current kitchen won't support two.
-
INAID I messaged SIL also and she didn't return my message either. She got my first one re freighting as she replied. She must've decided to keep it, but at least she could have messaged back :-))
-
today on my bench. ;D
yes have used it tonight, very quiet and easy to use. :)
have to book a demo for a few weeks.
my consultant is quitting, so can't do a demo, and is organizing another consultant.
-
Have fun Obbie, I found it didn't take much getting used to. It lovely.
-
Lovely Robyn. Happy cooking XOX

Does anyone know how long the wait is to receive a TM5?
Apologies if this is the wrong forum to ask. :)
-
The official line is 20 working days but apparently that may be increasing for new orders. Still waiting to hear from my consultant.
-
Mine took about 20 working days but I was told that it will be longer for quite a while.
-
I read on FB that as of today any orders placed will take 6-8 weeks as there is a world wide shortage.
-
my consultant says 6-8 weeks now. My consultant just quit too.
-
Deary me. I ordered on the 9th and monies were deducted on the 11th September. Haven't heard a word from my consultant. I may have a bit more of a wait than anticipated. Luckily (although not the greatest substitute), I borrowed back my food processor that I gave mum after buying TMX31.
-
You should be ok mcmich as I'm sure your machine is probs sitting in the warehouse, they just haven't got to you yet...as I understand it, its only new orders
-
it took 22 days for mine to be delivered, i kept checking..
6-8 weeks now
-
Mine arrives tomorrow (I think) I ordered on the 9th as well.
-
How do we know when they have been posted to us. Mine has been picked
I think if I had to pay that much money & wait 6 to 8 weeks I would be buying a second hand TM31
-
Your consultant should be able to tell you. Mine was sent late last week and apparently it's now in Launceston ready for delivery :)
-
A wait that long for that amount of money is not good. No matter how good the product!
I certainly won't be upgrading any time soon.
That has made the decision easy.
-
If I don't hear from my consultant in the next few days (she may be away with school holidays and the long weekend) I will email and see if there is any word.
Even if it is 6-8 weeks that only adds up to 3-5 weeks away for me. Odds being even, I should still be A&W by then and ready for delivery. ;D
-
Does anyone have a tm31 bowl set (with lid and blades) they would like to sell or even a 'cheap' machine. I'm considering whether to buy. Please pm me, thanks in advance

I'm seriously considering swapping to the TM5 from the TM31. Unfortunately I can't afford to keep two. Has anyone made the swap and regretted it? :)
-
I haven't swapped as I have kept my TM31. It has been fortunate as I have had a little trouble with the TM 5. Nothing major.
I think it is a decision that only you can make. I love both of mine.
-
I Have sold my TM31, and bought a TM5, also have a HMP.
no problems at all.

I sold my TM31 to finance the TM5. Haven't regretted it but if you are happy with TM31, there aren't a whole lot of advantages to upgrading. Having cooked with the TM5 now I probably wouldn't of upgraded.
-
I must admit not having to have the cookbook handy to just check on things you forget is great with the TM5.
-
No regrets as I have both but it's nice having 2 jugs with 31. And not a lot of difference really.
-
I gave my TM31 to my daughter, so just have the TM5. I love it & I love the chip. I'm really glad I changed up.

Can I ask what issues you have had Cookie?
Great to hear of others experiences.
I didn't get the 2nd jug with mine, but would be hoping to get a promo for one for the TM5 this year.
For those of you who did sell your TM31 - can I ask what they sold for? I've had people offer me $800 for mine and I think that's ridiculous! LOL
-
LLB a couple of us have had the machine switching off, and closing down while it is working. It just does it in the middle or beginning or even end of use. Very annoying. Mine is scheduled to go back any day.
