:) Hello to all,
I have known about Thermomix for a few years as a good friend in another state is a demonstrator. I hadn't wanted one until recently when she was visiting on holidays and we went to see the new machine here in my town when it was launched. Well I was so impressed with the TM5 that I signed up that night.
I have begun my journey slowly making simple things and learning how to do basic procedures. I am loving this way of cooking. My list so far is custard, coleslaw, bread, savory scrolls, soups; pumpkin and tomato, rice, steamed vegies and marinated chicken. I will never buy a tin of tomato soup again, I just loved the creamy one from the ECB. I have a list a mile long of things to try next but I want to make the TM5 part of my life not let it take over so we are still having the roast vegies and other favourites. I have been to one cooking class and will go to everyone that I can as I found it really valuable and stimulating and full of recipes to try. I wish it was available 40 years ago when I began our family as I can see so many advantages for mums with young children and working mums too.
Vinnes is also loving me as I donate the appliances that I no longer need and make room in the cupboards.
Thank you to the administrators of this site as I think I will be making frequent visits and hopefully be able to contribute too as my skills and experience widen.
I AM LOVING MY THERMIE.......... :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Welcome to,the forum PW, I think we all still do a lot of traditional cooking with the enhancement of the Thermomix, I now steam all my veggies in the TMX, the more you use it the more you will love the convenience of such a great machine.

Hi and welcome to the Forum PW. Certainly plenty of recipes here to keep you busy. I agree - I love my Thermie but there are some things that are still better done the "old way". I don't think Thermie was intended to become the only way of cooking - just to make life so much easier (and cheaper in lots of cases) and to give us better control over what we eat. Enjoy.
