Recipe from Super Food Ideas but you will find the recipe here (http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/34012/slow+cooker+pineapple+and+capsicum+turkey) on Taste.com.au
Their picture is not indicative of the end product as you can see from my photo, theirs seems to have no sauce when in fact there is a nice, rich tomatoey sauce. The reviews are not good either but mine is very tasty.
I used 3 smaller turkey drumsticks and removed the skin before cooking them, used roasted red capsicum I had in the freezer instead of fresh and therefore skipped the step where it is cooked with the onion. I added it to the sauce just before pouring it over the drumsticks. I also added 2 tsps cornflour slurry to the sauce whilst I was removing the meat from the bones.

It looks a lovely meal Judy.

Thanks cookie, it was nice.

Looks great Judy, I have just printed the recipe out. I haven't cooked Turkey drumsticks in a while, they certainly are economical. Will definitely give this a go.
-
Judy, thanks for the comprehensive review. Will check the recipe out.

Thank you so much for your trouble Judy, I have 2 very large turkey legs in my freezer so am looking forward to trying this.

This is delicious. We all enjoyed it.I used 600g of diced turkey thigh meat for this dish but needed to cook it for 8 hours in my SC on low.I did as Judy suggested and thickened the gravy with 2 Tbsp of cornflour. Thanks Judy for a lovely recipe :-*

Glad you enjoyed it Denise. I only needed 2 tsp cornflour, it wasn't too thick with 2 tbsp?
-
No two Tbsp was fine Judy.I must of had more gravy after the slow cooking than you :D
-
Am I correct in saying 2 English tablespoons =30ml, whereas 2 Australian tablespoons = 40ml?
-
That's correct Cookie. ;D
