I am a Thermomix newbie. Have only had my TM5 (Thelma) for 13 days but loving it. Prefer to make main meals for 2 but love it to be quick, easy and tasty. Like to have leftovers to freeze for later.
Would also like to make bread, rolls etc and maybe sorbets or icecreams for the grandchildren. In fact happy to try anything. So far I have been going through the cookbook supplied but have also tried 2 online recipes.
A little confused with the reverse button. My first use without the cookbook ended up as shredded chicken. This is something I must learn more.
Today I am planning to make bread, sorbet plus a main meal. Wish me luck!
Love this website and the many different ideas. I have already asked one question and had a prompt reply. Great to have so many friends to help me. Thank you.

Sandra's, we all shreaded stuff when we first started. I generally find the recipes here more reliable than the books. There is also feed back.
Have fun with your TMX.

Welcome Sandra. Glad you are having a great time with your TMX ... as Chookie said, we all made (and still do make) mistakes, it's a learning curve and you can get quite creative with your mistakes as well. Happy cooking.

Welcome to the forum, lots of fun and great things to try, no doubt you will master the caulslaw soup ;D, lots of little things go wrong but it is a learning curb, even after owning Thermie for about five years I still use him once or twice everyday. It's like having a slave in the kitchen. :D

Welcome to the forum Sandrat. Believe me there is nothing that you could do that hasn't been done before. I even caused my butterfly to be eaten by TM because I turned up the speed to high. The wonderful thing about this forum is the welcoming. understanding and very knowledgeable members.

Hi and welcome to the Forum Sandrat. As you can see - we have all done our fair share of shredding. My first one was a big gluggy mess of shredded pasta bows. Actually could not see any pasta - just thick flavourless soup which I promptly threw out. I love making bread and bread rolls now. Yesterday I steamed some herbed chicken pieces in the Varoma and then crisped them up under the griller. Also steamed some vegies while the chicken was being grilled. So happy that I have finally got around to using the Varoma which has only taken me three years. Enjoy all the recipes and help that you will find here.
