Title: Crio Bru
Post by: past94x on February 19, 2016, 11:49:37 am
I keep seeing this stuff cropping up in Tenina's recipe books.
It looks like I might be able to get it here in the UK, but I'm not sure what to order.(Amazon UK seems to stock something of that name, but I'm not sure if what Tenina uses is coffee or chocolate or a mixture of both)
Crio Bru seems to cover a lot of different things, so I guess it's just a brand name.
Can anyone help please?

I saw her post today, I've got no idea what it is.

You can buy one flavour of Crio Bru from an Thermomix Advisor called ThermoQueen here (http://www.thethermoqueen.co.uk/collections/all).
Maybe email Tenina and ask her what's the best flavour to order.

Thanks so much Denise. I've done that and will report back.
Thanks again.

My favourite is Maracaibo and that is the only one I buy now. Vega Real (I think) is also a pretty popular flavour too. The thing to remember with it, is that you smell this awesome chocolate smell, but the Crio itself doesn't taste incredibly chocolatey. It's lovely, but not super chocolatey like the smell.

Here's Tenina's repyl. hope it might help someone.

You can use any flavour but it should not have anything added like peppermint or cinnamon etc. My go to fave for everything is vega real. Cavalla is also a more mellow place to start! Good luck and enjoy!

I'm not that keen on it myself. What does everyone else think about it?

It can take a bit of getting used to MJ. You get the intensely chocolate smell and therefore expect it to have this taste, and it doesn't. I enjoy it but still drink tea and coffee.
