I am experimenting with an icecream recipe and am pretty excited. How many times do you make a recipe before posting it on the forum to ensure it will work for others? Also what is the deal with taking a process from a recipe and changing the ingredients to make a variation. Is the original developer of the recipe going to get cranky? I would always reference the source...Thanks for reading and giving me your thoughts ;D
Ps what a buzz it is when you come up with an idea for a recipe and you pull it off LOL ;D ;D ;D

You can adapt any of my recipes any time - there is not copyright on them - if you can improve on them then that's gret.
I post many recipes after only ONE go - but warn that times may vary - I am happiest when people actually review and correct the recipes, because then I know they really have given it a go.
It is a buzz when you develop an new idea or improve on an established recipe.
You will find recipes that spell out that they are a work in progress - so don't hold back.

I think it is just best to "wing it". I love it when someone just makes it then someone else tweeks it. That is the fun of this forum.
Just do i I say!

i always post mine after one go - because otherwise i'll forget how i did it, and it could be 6-12 months before i did it again! i do find that often recipes that work perfectly the first time won't work the same way the next few times so you always need to take times etc with a grain of salt!

Like Karen, I post after making a recipe and then don't make it again for ages. Sometimes when I do make it again, using my posted recipe, it is different ??? ??? Weird that but I have come to expect it now and just add more time or whatever. Anyone, at anytime, is quite welcome to tweak mine too - it wouldn't upset me at all.

I need to post after one go otherwise I can't make sense of all my scribbles I've made on the recipe. I've been slack and using the TMX to make things or parts of recipes and not posting. I must correct it.

Think that it is very acceptable to just put rough ideas on here - cookbooks that we are paying for need some testing by a few people before printing

I think posting the recipe after one go is fine. I get too excited after a success to wait until the next time to post. ;D

I agree too :)
