Does anyone already have a butter icing tmx recipe to save me converting, by any chance?? I'm guessing I'd better make a double quantity of it to be on the safe side. Does that sound right, all you experienced cake decorators out there?

I just use the 'good ol' Day to Day Cookery recipe and it works out fine but I do love royal icing the very best!
Butter Icing
1 cup icing sugar
1-2 tbsp butter
1-2 tbsp water or milk
vanilla
Whiz it altogether.
Variations
Fruit icing - less butter and replace water with fruit juice and tbsp lemon juice
Chocolate - mix in 1-2 tbsp cocoa with a smidge extra water to mix.
Coffee - add a tbsp coffee (essence better but can use instant) add in water as needed.
Mocha - add 2 tsp coffee and 2 tsp cocoa blended with 1 tbsp hot water or milk to mix.
I have not found a problem with the smaller amount in TMX.

Caroline, I made cup cakes with this recipe last night and this morning used a butter icing that someone posted somewhere on this forum. Thank you to whoever that was.
125 Butter at room temp
3/4 cup icing suger
2tbs milk
2tbs cocoa
Put butterfly and all ingredients into bowl.
spd 4. blitz, scrape down and blitz again until smooth.

great recipe Thermomixer. I Reduced the sugar & used raw cacao - whipped up beautifully. Thank you!
