Title: Recipe Review - Anzacs EDC
Post by: meganjane on November 20, 2009, 01:57:25 pm
Made these today. I reduced the sugar to 100g as I find the EDC recipes are too sweet for my taste. I found 160 degrees was too slow and upped to 180. I like my bickies to be crisp, not soft inside. 8.5 out of 10
Recipe made 30 biscuits.

My mums as I grew up on were different. Found we had to press the mixture down. Will have to get the recipe from mum as her biscuits were flat (she probably either got from CWA, Golden Wattle or Womans Weekly), and the mixture was not so stiff.

I followed Megan Jane's directions as well as upping coconut by 10g (by mistake!) and worked well. DC did not notice reduction in sugar and now more palatable for adults.

I agree they are really sweet. I'm the opposite though I love soft Anzacs like my mum always made. Yum yum.
