Although its freezing here, and the last thing on my mind is ice-cream, however I thought maybe you guys might like to try this one, supposedly delicious, although I may have to wait a while before I can try ice-cream again!
HONEY ICE-CREAM:
Serves 4 - 6:
Ingredients:
500g milk
4 egg yolks
1 tablespoon cornflour
300g honey
Preparation:
Add milk, yolks and cornflour, program 4 mins 90º speed 3, then add honey and re-program further 4 mins 90º speed 3. Cool, then freeze for 3 hours, blitz speed 5 and serve.
Sounds lovely!

Meagan - It is really sweet - too sweet for me and I am a mega sweet tooth!! Not sure I would make this one again.
Thermomixer - How about just halving the honey content and adding a teaspoon of lemon juice?
-
Yes it does, thanks Bron. Parts of our country are having very hot weather these days.
-
Sounds lovely Bron, thankyou. ;D
-
Just what we need , thanks Bron.
I've made Tenina's honey icecream so now I'll try yours.
-
Thanks Bron. Some of us Aussie's have grown up on "golden North" honey icecream. Can't wait to make it as it will bring back childhood memories!!!!
-
Thanks bron - sounds good for us in the heat

-
Ok on a whim I just made this as I had 3 egg yolks in the fridge ;) that is my excuse anyway lol
-
You can't waste them Meagan. :P
-
How did it taste Meagan ? It is good to be able to use egg yolks for something delish.
-

Not a bad idea.

Right, its the 4th straight day over 40 degrees in Perth, I think its time for ice cream!
-
Oh, you poor things over in the West. I should watch the TV news/weather more often :-)) I thought we were doing it tough in the low 30's for what seems like forever but that's nothing on 40's. Hope there is a cool change on the way.
-
Definitely time for icecream. Yes Judy it is a
bit hot very b.... hot. It actually rained yesterday afternoon and it has made it very humid. It's very overcast here again and very hot. I hope it doesn't come over to you.

Perth hit by cold snap as top temperature reaches only 33 degrees! ;D
-
It is lovely, I almost feel the need to put a jumper on. :D

I know, the kids went for a swim in the paddling pool, came in for lunch and made me turn the aircon off, cos they were "freezing"!
-
I have EVERY door and window in the house open :D :D :D
-
Will make this tonight or tomorrow. We have just had 35°C in Melbourne today and it's still 33° at 8pm. Trying to keep the house as cool as possible but after a couple of hot days here the external bricks heat up too much and opening windows, doors etc is not an option. We have practically been living in our pool the last few days. Thank goodness for the forum and all the sorbet/ice cream recipes!!

I am sitting here in Uralla NSW with a cardigan on. :-))
