;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hello!! Oh how I've missed you guys and gals here! :'( HUGE HUGS!!! Well I've now got a new PC and internet connection. YIPPPEEEE!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D (I'm sure non TMX addicts would think I really need a life! Especially if they saw my little victory dance when the internet connection finally worked! :-)) ;) LOL). And with the update in technology I've got myself an iphone now so am keen to try Brazens ??? meal planning and shopping list program.... anything to make life a bit more organised!
You have certainly been extremely busy in my absence, and I hear that isi is a gun with all her recipes so I'm looking forward to trying some new ones and her bread! And I can see that I've got quiet a few very late nights ahead of me catching up.
And a big thanks to JD for keeping me up to dated and telling me how busy this place was getting.
Great to be back! xx

Welcome back ILB. We missed you. Great to hear that you are updated with the new technology - let us know how it all goes. :)
-
Thanks Chelsea :-*
:D :D First I have to work out how to use it :-)) :-))
-
At least you are making an attempt, I wouldn't have a clue. I am a pen and paper girl sadly. :D
-
Welcome back ILB. I've also missed you. Wow an iphone, lucky you. DD has one and is trying to convince me I need one! I think I'll be sticking with the one I have somehow.
-
Welcome back ILB - I know what you will be doing at night for the next week or so ;D ;D ;D Get onto isi's bread and join her fan club ;) ;)
-
Thanks Ladies :-*
I'd been procrastinating getting a new phone, but when the battery on my old one would only last for about a minute if I got a call it was getting beyond a joke.... But sadly I'm having trouble connecting my email accounts to Outlook, and thats not even to start mentioning the trouble I'm having hooking up emails onto my iphone... >:(
But just glad I can be back here ;) 8)

Missed you. welcome back

Welcome Back! I was just thinking about you today when I was sitting in the car waiting for the boys while they were at an appointment and wondering when you would be back ;D ;D ;D
-
not my program! but welcome back!
-
Well I think you were talking about it at some stage Brazen. I'll get there eventually and look it up.
-
yes i was :) i talk about them a lot but never get around to actually trying them haha
-
Stacelee was talking about using Living Cookbook and Evernote and someone else was talking about ThinkFresher which has an ipod application.....
-
I really like Living Cookbook. It's great to copy forum recipes into and save and print. Haven't used the "shopping list" type functions though.
Comes with 1'000 of very american recipes - lots with frozen cookie dough, frozen buns etc and canned soup. But that's okay.
-
Welcome back - certainly has been busy !!! - hard to keep up.
One word of warning with the iPhone - my nurse has problems with the internet apparently connecting without her activating it. Not sure - I don't have one - too old fashioned with phones (or toooooo bl..dy lazy to find out)
Her friend had a $240 monthly internet charge because of a similar problem. Make sure the little circle is off when you finish witht the internet - my words of advice.
Again - great to have you back.
BTW - my laptop has really had it - after a few weeks they now have decided that it is the motherboard - which they tell me is bad !!! $900 to replece :o :o :o :o :o but you can get a whole NEW computer for less !!
-
Just replace it Thermomixer and start fresh with a new warranty ;D ;D ;D
-
I'll second that. Why waste $900 when as you say you can buy a new one.
-
Yeah - that's what I did - ordered yesterday. They said that they can make the old hard drive into a portable hard drive ! - so the data should still be there ??
-
Thats what happened to mine Thermomixer. Bl__dy expensive business! The computer tech guy did transplant the old hard drive into the new computer, but contacts etc have all been lost. Most of my files and pics etc were saved though thankfully!
Thanks for the tips on the iphone. Have already got caught out with the internet connection cost - I was told the wrong information when I signed up for my plan. Actually there were a few things that she told me about which was wrong >:( >:(
-
stepping down off my soap box before I even start ILB - hearing you though >:( >:( >:( >:(

Can anyone recommend a really good recipe program for a Mac? I used Accuchef for years on my PC, but now am an Apple convert and am having trouble finding one.
-
Welcome back ILB :) I have been off and on in the last few weeks due to being away on holidays.
As for iphone apps it might have been me? I use Shopper which is a paid application for shopping lists
-
Thanks Meagan, I'll have a look into it. What an amazing piece of technology the iphone is!
-
Welcome back!!! It's great to hear from you.
-
Oh dear Thermomixer, that's not good news about your computer.
Welcome Back ILB!
