Title: Country Show Winnings - Thanks to TMX and EDC

This is a bit of a brag - Yesterday was The Cooyar Show and we go to show cattle mainly but because it's our local show we enter alot of other stuff too - like cooking, veges and photography. Our whole family had great success yesterday with all entries and I would like to give the EDC a plug because I think it gets a bit of a roasting on here sometimes. My kids entered cooking they did all on their very own using TMX and using some recipes in the EDC. Results as follows:
DS 11 - First Prize for Scones and for Moulded Chocolates
First Prize for Cucumbers
Second - Paraders and Judging (up against the big kids)
First Prize for 'Enlargement' in Photography and this was the adult section!

DD 8 - First Prize for Anzac Biscuits (EDC), Piklets and Moulded Chocolates
Second Prize for Choclate cake (EDC) and Lazy Daisy Cake
Overall winner for Junior Section in Cooking - Won a Beach Towel!

Me - First Prize for Tomato Sauce (EDC)
Second Prize for lemon butter (EDC) and passionfruit butter.

$34 prize money in total and a beach towel! for our efforts. Our heifer and cow also came in with second prize  ;) :D

Well done nay-nay and family - gotta love those country shows. Most of my Mum's family are still in country towns and I remember at family reunions that their cooking was to die for.

Well done Nay and family.   What a good way to get the family cooking.   I just love country shows.   I'm sure you are a very well organized person.

I remember our little local show. It was so much fun and the kids loved competing! It would have been so much easier with the TMX back then...
