Title: Hi
Post by: Jacs on March 09, 2010, 09:24:30 pm
Hi my name is Jackie Healy and I live in New Zealand and I have had my thermomix for about 3 weeks now. What a difference it has made for the first time I am trying so many different things like making bread and they are turning out I so love the healthy cooking especially as I am a diabetic I can say how much sugar goes into jams and they taste soooo good. I did find that if you knead the bread for 3mins instead of 1.5mins that it rises better. it is making cooking interesting again and I love the clearing up 1 bowl and blade fantastic.

Hi and welcome! I'm a Kiwi living in Aussie, well, I'm an Aussie too now so I straddle the ditch.

Do you know anyone else in NZ with a TM, my sis over there had never heard of it. Well, I suppose a lot of people in Aus haven't heard of it either.

Anyway, glad to hear you're enjoying your TM!

Chookie I have looked everywhere here for "Dish' and can't find it. I'll check next time I go into the city, Borders may have it.

MJ it is a cooking magazine that Chookie said is good. From over the Tasman.

The Dish mag comes out every 2 months,  so may not be easy to find.  Here is the info. It is published by Tangible Media Ltd.,34 Westmoreland St.West, Grey Lynn,  Auckland, 1021.  Phone +649 360 5700.  Email info@dish.co.nz    Aust. sub is $60 for 6 issues.
I think it is better than any foodie mag. published in Australia.  The food photography is out standing.  Given that some of the travel info is not relevant to us , it is still good for the recipes.  Hope this helps.
