Title: awesome
Post by: irma on June 22, 2010, 01:30:22 pm
:)is this not the best machine ever invented.! my name is Irma, i first saw the TMX sitting on the bench in my sisters kitchen in Melbourne, 2009, all she did was make milkshakes and i though she was crazy spending $2000 on it. It was while i was visiting her on holiday and close to my birthday. When it was time for me to go home, Pt Augusta South Australia, My sister orgainzed a demonstration for myself and my elderly auntie. I was a little embarresed when the consultant arrived with all her equipment and there when just the two of us. I remember tell her she didn't need to unpack if she didn't want as "I was not going to buy one" She looked at me with contempt and continued to orgainise the demo. My Auntie sat very close to her and asked question after question, she's 85 and always dreamed about having her own resturant nevertheless she has done well in business. At the end of demonstration, where i was left speachless my auntie bought one straight away, no use in waisting time at 85.On returning home my mission was to contact the nearest consultant in Adelaide, 300kms away and arrange a demo for my friends and work collegues. My close friend, who is a natropath was amazed and had no idea there was such a machine, she became a consultant and Yes i did purchase a TMX, my life changed forever. Today i continue to discover new ways of cooking that are healthy, easy to prepare and foolproof. I continue to spread the word and will enjoy reading your comments and ideas of this incredable machine.

Welcome Irma, love your Aunty - such get up and go.  Hope she is enjoying it.  Lovely story.  Is your sister using hers for more than milk shakes these days ??? ??? ???

That is such a 'goose bump' (my version of feel good) tale, Irma.  Welcome, while I am still waiting to receive my little wonder I have become a frequent visitor to this forum.  Like you, initially I was definitely not in the market for another kitchen appliance - being the queen of appliances - at the demo I made a comment that I could not justify the $$$$, given that we are now officially empty nesters.  Needles to say, after much reading and research on forums such as this I purchased the TMX.  I am looking forward to sharing the wonders of the TMX with a dear friend who, when I told her of my purchase, stated 'a what' and cast the look of I have no idea what you just said AND  'not another thing for the kitchen that has everything known to man'.  Surprisingly my husband is also looking forward to the arrival, happening on Sunday as my consultant and I could not organise any time sooner.
Cheers

Robyn - Rockhampton, Qld

A lovely story Irma. What sort of things do you enjoy making with your TMX? Does your Aunt make lots of lovely things.
By the way-welcome to the forum.

johnro there are quite a few 'empty nesters' on the forum. So an extra welcome.

Welcome Irma. Great to have you on board and hope the forum increases your enjoyment of your wonderful machine. Have you given it a name. Lots of us have and we enjoy hearing what people name their new pair of hands in the kitchen.

Welcome to the forum Irma.  I'm originally from Port Pirie where I still have family.  It's great to know that there is now a consultant up in the mid north as my sister had to have a demo in my home as no one was prepared to go up there.

welcome irma, as a consultant its always interesting to hear the first negative reaction to the machine, probably because the customer has heard the price. but what always makes me smile to myself is the absolute disbelief of clients when they see you make icing sugar from raw sugar for the first time!!! great story and enjoy the great recipes here   ;D

I've heard a few great stories like that!  I had one lady at a demo who openly said she wasn't interested, but by the end of the demo she ordered AND signed up to become a consultant!!  You really do have to see it to believe it, don't you!  ;D

I have been places where someone hasn't known I have a TMX but another person has let them know that it is my passion and the reaction when they find out the price is beginning to annoy me.  No questions about what you get for your money, just instant dismissal of a machine they have never heard of, let alone seen.  It is true, people do have to see what it does for themselves but there are many out there who still wouldn't buy it because they just don't cook  :-X :-X

Hi Irma from another rural South Aussie! I am in the Mid North, but the other side of Port Pirie, and I am doing my training now to be a consultant. Is your friend who is demonstrating in Port Augusta, too? It would be nice to know another rural consultant, there are very few of us here.
