Title: Chicken Drumsticks in the Varoma??
Post by: Chelsea (Thermie Groupie) on August 23, 2010, 05:59:42 am
I'm just wondering if anyone has steamed drumsticks in the varoma before and roughly how long they take?  I am converting a recipe for our Ethiopian New Year celebrations and can't decide whether to try doing the drumsticks in the varoma or in the bowl with the sauce.

Thanks in advance.  :)

Hi Chelsea

I haven’t actually tried it myself but did see the Chicken Cacciatore recipe in the Meat Lovers cookbook and that cooks the chicken legs in the bowl with the sauce. I haven’t heard seen a recipe for doing them in the Varoma. Good Luck  :)

I certainly have when I was experimenting loads for the Meat on the Menu cookbook and making all those roulades and stuffed chicken legs.  I'd try 25 minutes from cold, but may need a little more?
