I just saw an add for today tonight with the Thermomix featured on it ;D I think it was titled things you can't live without in the kitchen ;) ;D 8)
-
Oooh! I'll have to make sure that I watch.
-
There is a funny mention in the Sydney Morning Herald. Masterchef judges Gary and George interviewed about each other:

Relevant quote from Gary:
If George were a kitchen implement, what would he be?
A Thermomix because he uses the blooming thing all the time.

Thanks girls I just taped it ready for tonight
-
Thanks for the heads up Meagan. How is consulting? Sorry, if you aren't doing it, but I am not as "over" the posts as I used to :-)) :-))
-
Oops. I just put a post the same as this elsewhere. I'll go and remove it.
All done. DH is around today so I didn't get on here as early as usual. ;) ;)

Yes indeed Thermomixer ;) doing really well and working my way towards the big 50 lol!!

Yeah I taped it too! Got a few minute rap with sorbet being made. If you had never seen one before I am not sure if you would "get it" though
-
Oh, I missed it! Forgot. I rarely watch commercial TV, so was on Foxtel at the time.
I just wish that people would use it to it's potential. They always just use it as a food processor.
-
Was it on i taped it and fast forwarded through and didnt see anything
-
Yes, it was on. Rob Broadfield did it. I think he must have one to be honest. I felt it was done reasonable well in the time given to the entire slot. He actually made a sorbet. He did say all the things it could do so if you were interested he did say how helpful it was several times and that it made cooking so much easier.
-
Is today tonight different in certain states? I watched it last night and didn't see anything.
-
I think that demonstrating a sorbet was ok, however people would think that it was a pretty expensive sorbet machine. Showing the chop and then heat function would spark a bit more interest...but anyway it wasn't like it was an advertisement. I have been mulling over getting a slow cooker, but don't know if I would use it all that often - whether the versatility means that basically all it cooks is stews? I have never had a thermometre before, but that looked like a really good investment.

This was a West Australian part of Today Tonight as the people they spoke to were specifically West Australian.
-
It must not have been on in Sydney I fastforwarded it again and still could not see anything.
-
Today Tonight programmes are specific to each state, so the TMX was only on the Perth TT
