Title: 3 in one room...

Hi
I had a weird thermo experience this week and thought I should share!
OK so I live in Tas.  I'm a nurse and work in a day procedure unit, when doing a list there are two nurses and two doctors (a specialist and anaesthetist) in the room.

The other week I went to the demo class.  As walking in, I heard a lady say her name as "xyz" which happened to be the name of the wife of a Dr I work closely with.  So Friday was the next time I worked with him and so I said "Dr xyz do you and your wife own a thermomix", and then the anaesthetist piped up and said "we own a thermomix' and then I added "so do I".  How funny, we've worked together for ages, never talked about it and there were 3 out of 4 in the room owning one!  And then I found out one of the wives of our other Dr has bought one recently too.

So there you go!  That was pretty amazing!  And we got to educate our other colleague about them too.

I'm sure it won't be long and you will all have one Narelle - I can imagine how surprised you all were.

Love the odd things people have in common, so is the poor left out colleague going to buy one?! As they say it's a small world. Though I need to bump into more tmx owners.

Far out! My consultant has sold about a third of her thermomixes to doctors...and anaesthetists top the list!

How amazing. Now the poor patients will be wondering what this TMX is that you all speak about, unless of course they own one and they can join in before you put them 'under'.

hehehe another anaesthetist that just bought a TMX... didn't actually think of inviting any of my work colleagues to the demo but they all are very interested in it and want to come to the next one...

Maybe something to do with a high proportion of female gasdocs? Although the only other anaes owner I know of at work is a bloke.

Cookie, don't think the patients will be wondering too much* - not much time for idle banter until they are asleep - and before that tend to talk to them directly rather than amongst ourselves.
