hiya everyone! ;D
I'm Amorita, single mumma to 2 lovely boys in Tassie!
I really really want a thermomix, I have several friends with them, I'm sooo jealous!
I'm thinking of getting one with the interest free xmas promo, but am a little scared, haha no idea why!
Has anyone got one this way, any advice?

I don't know anything about the interest free, but a friend got her tm using the 3 payment method - it's quite good -3 payments in 3 months or something like that and you get your tm straight away and there isn't any interest either. There was a fee, but it wasn't very much. be careful of any associated fees with the interest free - just remember they need to make money somehow.

I hope you can get your very own TMX soon.
The interest free is a fantastic method of achieving your machine as long as you use it wisely.
Things to note are:- $70 initial set up of finance if you haven't used MyBuy before and there's a $4.95 account keeping fee/month. If you want to make additional payments, rather that paying it off in multiples, put it to one side and do it in a lump sum. There is a fee of $1.95 each time you make an additional payment other than your regular set up payments. (They definitely make their money in more ways than one).
Putting aside those negative aspects. You will more than save that amount of money on your groceries each week. My first shop I saved $55, the second $65, now $80/week!! so as you can see, if you use your machine for as much of your cooking as you can and with young children, it's not hard to do, you will more than make up that amount of money and more. You could easily have it paid off in 9 months.
Give it some serious thought, but remember to do what's right for you!!! You'll know when the time & terms are right.

I did the 3 month payment thing. Could have bought it outright but it seemed less painful with the 3 month option even with the extra $50 fee. Definitely agree with everyone else who says they save on groceries. The ability to buy less processed foods and more fresh produce has made a significant saving on our grocery bills and I am enjoying tasting 'real' food again and the best thing of all is that you know exactly what is going into your food. I spend my entire day thinking about food and what I can create with my Thermomix when I get home from work. It Is beyond an obsession!! By the way, we' re not a whacky group, just converts to the wonders of cooking with the Thermomix.
