Well l guess it had to happen. A recipe l just don't like. The chicken tasted yum and l liked the different textures of bean sprouts, nuts, noodles and chicken, but ....... If l ever get the urge to try it again, l would probably halve the noodles and egg, add more bean sprouts and add a little something else to kick up the flavour (although the lack of flavour may have been because l didn't have any chives to put in). 1.5 out of 5.

what was wrong with it? i love pad thai in restaurants but havent yet made my own..
do you like pad thai usually?
-
Is this one in Cyndi's recipe book as I haven't seen it anywhere else? If so, would anyone be kind enough to PM the recipe as I make a lot of pad thai but I've never done one in the TM and I would love to post a comparison between conventional and TM pad thai if anyone is interested. Thanks!

Merlin, we make pad thai a lot as well and I also haven't done a conversion to TMX. Would love the recipe and your review too, if that's not too much to ask ;) ;) ;) ;D ;D

Sorry girls, I don't have the book.

Will PM you when l get home from work, urgh the dreaded night duty. Am trying to remember exactly why l didn't like it and l think it was just way too much noodles. I do like pad thai, but it's not something l eat a lot of.

Thanks Kim!
Most unusual for me to have missed a pad thai recipe like that. Appreciate you pointing out the thread. I'll definitely give it a go now.

This is such a simple recipe and so tasty. I make it regularly. It doesn't have all the ingredients of a traditional pad thai but still tastes great!

Hally has put a Donna Hay recipe in the non-thermomix meals thread (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=9690.0;topicseen) if anyone is interested in trying her version.
